Your first reading test.
One ordinary tap does each action. You do not need double taps, triple taps or long presses.
1. Connect once
Your school administrator opens Tablets in the portal and creates an eight-digit connection code. Enter the school server address and the eight numbers in the Android app. Spaces between the two groups are fine. The code expires after ten minutes and works once.
After the catalog downloads, choose your teacher name and enter your four-digit PIN. The connection code and teacher PIN are different.
2. Choose a student and sheet
Choose the student's name, then the reading sheet. Check the student and sheet in the summary. Tap Begin reading.
3. Start listening
Tap Start timer when the student begins. The clock stays beside the reading sheet.
- Mistakes: tap the letter or nekuda that was read incorrectly. Tap it again to clear the mistake.
- Add a note: choose this tool, then tap the symbol. Write a short note and save it.
- Reading detail: choose the tool, then tap the symbol and select the detail.
- Undo / Redo: reverse or restore your last action.
4. Mark the one-minute position
- At 0:55, the whole reading page turns amber: five seconds remain.
- At 1:00, it turns mint and gives a gentle vibration.
- Tap Mark 1-minute word. The clock pauses.
- Tap the word the student reached at the minute. A labeled underline shows the position.
If the student stops before a minute, use Last word read instead. That records the elapsed time when you press the button.
5. Finish and save
Tap Finish test. Check the summary, choose whether to include reading time, and mark the reading complete or partial. Tap Save test and wait for Test saved.
Without Wi-Fi, the saved test stays on the device and is sent when the connection returns. Keep the app installed and do not clear its data.
6. Review progress
In the school portal, open the student and choose Progress. Compare tests on the same sheet/version, then review Letters and nekudos for exact counts. Open Results to inspect one test or print its report.
Need to correct a saved test?
Open Saved tests, select the reading and choose Correct this test. Enter your teacher PIN. Save the correction as a revision; the original is kept.
Something isn't working?
The connection code was rejected
Check the eight numbers and the school server address. Ask the administrator to generate a fresh code if ten minutes have passed or the code was already used.
The device says Offline
If its catalog has already downloaded, you can continue testing and save locally. Connect to your usual school Wi-Fi when available. Do not uninstall or clear app data to fix an upload.
I tapped the wrong symbol
Tap that same symbol again in Mistakes, or use Undo. For a note or reading detail, first choose its visible tool.
